Where Did My Baby Go?

It just seems like she was born yesterday......where did my baby go?

My Favorite Astro

Baseball is in full swing for Ryan. He is on the Astros this year and they have an even record of 2 wins and 2 losses. He has had the opportunity to play shortstop, 2nd base and center field. The two losses have been by one run each so it should be an exciting season.

Out of The Mouth of Lins

My drive home from picking up Lins at school was as entertaining as ever. Lins started the conversation by stating that she was glad that it was St. Patty's Day as they had a big party and that she had eaten green apples, green cookies and drank green punch. She then asked when was the next colored holiday? I didn't bust out into laughter as I often do from her comments but did explain to her that on St. Patty's Day you are supposed to wear green (and that is why I dressed her all up in green) and if you don't that you will be pinched. Lins quickly explained to me that I was incorrect because if she were to pinch anyone at her school that Ms. Auli (her teacher) would send her directly to the office. Wow, Lins confirmed that life is nothing but double standards. I wonder what our conversations will be about tomorrow?

Ryan's 12 Year Well Care Visit

Today I took Ryan for his 12 Year Well Care Visit. He was a complete trooper throughout the visit (despite having to strip down to his underwear). The three shots he received (2 in one arm and 1 in the other) didn't phase him (wish I could say the same for me). The nurse was terrific and didn't say much to Ryan but did ask if I was going to get through the shots (guess she saw me tear up when she mentioned the three shots). Ry's weight was 82 pounds (30%) and his height was 57" (25%). As we were leaving, the nurse mentioned that I better start preparing myself now as Ry will be due 1 shot at his 13 Year Well Care Visit and Lindsay is due for 2 at her 5 Year Well Care Visit in August.
