Conversation with Lindsay

Each evening as Lindsay is falling asleep, I lay by her and she asks me questions. I have to share the big question of last night........Are you ready for it?????????

Lindsay: Mommy, are you and Pam twins?
(For those of you that are not aware, Pam is a very dear friend of mine)
Mommy: No, but why do you ask?
Lindsay: Because you both have yellow hair and both have the name Pam
Mommy: That is very observant of you Lindsay.
Lindsay: Mommy, if she isn't your twin then can Pam be my Aunt?
Mommy: Absolutely, but only if she can be my sister.
Lindsay: I am sure that Pam will agree to be your sister but you will have to check with Dominic.
(Dominic is Pam's 3 year old son that Lindsay adores)

Pam, I have yet to tell Lindsay that you do have a twin sister named Pattie that is 2 minutes older than you. Can you imagine the questions that Lindsay will come up once I tell her.

Our Dear Sammie Boy

Today we lost our Sammie Boy. My dear friend and neighbor Rosie called at 8:05AM to inform me that our Sammie Boy had passed away at 7:57AM. I was on my way out the door but I was able to drop in and give Sammie two kisses and get a little bit of petting in before I had to get the kids to school. I am so grateful to Sammie that he passed at a time that enabled me to have a final goodbye with him. Sammie looked peaceful which made me happy despite my tears.

One thing is for sure, Wicket is so happy that his buddy is now with him. I know they are both watching out for me, Rosie, Steve, Ryan and Lindsay from above.

Sammie, you will be missed tremendously but will never, ever be forgotten. Please enjoy your time with Wicket.
